I have found religion

I have learned that sometimes
It isn't important to stick to what you believe
If your beliefs are making you unhappy
You should give up on them and join a different church
Throw your blind faith in a new direction,

My religion is joy
and I believe that sweet heaven
might be achieved at any moment.

The shortest distance to the truth
is a straight line from your mouth,
but words curl off your tongue spinning
thrown by your turbulent figure
as it swirls around my body
and holds me under in your embrace.

I drown in the tangled locks of hair
running rivers down your spine,
I explore your body for something true
but tracing your body with my fingertips,
I always return to your painted lips
which know of nothing pure.
