Cupid

Claire went to the library to find a book on Pyramids.

Geoffrey went to the library to find a book on Pharaohs.

Cupid watched the pair cross paths all day, but never meeting,

"This will never do!"

He exclaimed,

"they are perfect for one another!

They like the same books and they're both so lonely,

I can see it in their eyes,

I must make them fall in love!"

So Cupid snuck up onto the balcony

above the room in which they sat across from one another,

and set an arrow in his bow,

laughing to himself about getting the wooden weapon through the metal detector.

He shot Claire through the heart,

turned and did likewise to Geoffrey,

then stepped back to admire his handiwork.

They both died,

and bled out all over the books.

And Cupid was arrested for terrorism.
